Thirty years ago the government of the province of Burgenland elevated our community to the status of a town. Over those past decades Güssing has made notable progress in many fields: Today our ancient castle and the lovely landscape of the region attract an ever growing number of tourists, scores of people visit the manyfold cultural events every year and since the late nineties we are a widely known Center of Renewable Energy. In addition to that Güssing wants to be the hometown for those Burgenlaenders who live in other parts of the world.
We think all this calls for a celebration and so it is my pleasure to invite you to come to Güssing on the 14th and 15th of June! I am sure you will meet old friends or relatives and enjoy a couple of wonderful and memorable days in our town. Have a look at the old castle and renew old memories. Take some time out to relax and to spend a happy vacation among friends you won‘t forget.
