In April, the annual conference of the Austrian American Councils
(AAC) with president Juliana Belcsak took place in Washington.
The conference was themed by the 20th anniversary of the AAC and the impending fusion of Auslandsösterreicherwerk
(president Fritz Molden) and the "Weltbund der Österreicher im Ausland" (world alliance of the Austrians
abroad"- president Gustav Chlestil) to the „Auslandsösterreicher-Weltbund“.
The fusion of the organizations should take place in the course of
the "Weltbund-Tagung" in Vienna.
