Dear President Walter Dujmovits and staff of the Gemeinschaft

On behalf of my family and I, we would like to thank you for giving us the opportunity to visit the beautiful country of Burgenland. The trip was a once in a lifetime opportunity and I was honored that I was able to partake in all the events.

The picnic in Moschendorf gave me the opportunity to meet not only some of our family but also many of the people from the area. The band was superb. I also found out that I can Polka pretty well.

The delicious lunch at the Heanznhof, Familie Frühwirth and sightseeing through the Burgenland countryside. The views were breathtaking. I will never forget Herrn Josef Hölzl, Director of the Freilichtmuseum Bad Tatzmannsdorf He was very proud of his heritage and keeping the history of our ancestors alive. He had an enormous impact on me and I will always hold him in high regard.

Meeting Herrn Otto Potsch was also very memorable. His creations at the Bernsteiner Felsenmuseum are awe-inspiring. The long hours he endures to create an intricate figurine or piece of jewellery is phenomenal.

The Wine Toff at the Buschenschank Wukitsevits in Hamerlberg made me proud to be a descendant of such a wonderful heritage. The ,,Carrie Anne Wine” has been distributed all throughout the Seier Family aus New York and has been enjoyed immensely.

The hospitality of Herrn Deutsch and his wife was very thoughtful. I also would like to offer a special thanks to our tourguide and our driver. Thank you for taking the time out of your busy schedules to personally escort us through the countryside.

Learning my heritage and learning old traditions that my family once partook in was astounding. Everything holds a special place in history which all returns to my own heritage and is part of the culture that I was unaware of.

Thank you once again for everything. This trip will hold a special place in my heart now and forever.

Sincerely yours,

Carrie Ann Seier

Miss Burgenland New York
